Attended the Sir John Cass School of Arts and Crafts gaining the Diploma in the Design and Craftsmanship, the only course endorsed on behalf of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths.
During the course she won the Polished Diamond Distributors Award for Diamond Design for a painting of a brooch in 18carat gold and navette diamonds.
Continued to design and make Jewellery often exhibiting at venues including Woburn Abbey, the New Ashgate Gallery and Goldsmiths Hall.
1992: Achieved Diploma in and Fellowship of the Gemmological Association and went on to tutor students in Farnham for this qualification.
Lorraine always continued to practise her first love of life drawing and painting in oils, watercolour, acrylic and pastel.
She turned to Botanical painting about 10 years ago.
