Jodie Hunt grew up on a farm in Wiltshire where she enjoyed drawing farm animals, landscape and nature from young age, she went on to completed a degree at Winchester School of Art and Design, where she exhibited her artwork in London. Jodie has had many creative jobs before taking the plunge to become a full time artist.
Jodie enjoys creating realistic, colourful and textured artwork, including extending the drawing onto the mount as part of the artist style. She uses her photography skills and sketches to create a series of images that she can work from to create her artwork. Jodie specialises in portraits of pet/animal and landscapes, using texture paste with watercolour, inks, colour pencils and pastels. She loves creating textured artwork to draw the eye in and to give the painting some depth.
Some of Jodie's paintings were published in 'Paint' magazine in 2020. Jodie was a finalist for SAA Artist of the Year competition 2022. She is a member of several art societies in Hampshire and Surrey, alongside her artistic career.
